Concerts

Under the direction of Artistic Director and Principal Conductor Mary Blais, the Concert Band of Kanata brings together more than 60 musicians from across the Ottawa region to celebrate the joy of live concert band music. Since its founding in 2012, the band has played an active role in the community with multiple performances throughout the year for audiences of all ages. 

This concert shines a special spotlight on Canadian composer and arranger Robert (Bob) Buckley, whose music has delighted audiences around the world. In addition to performing several of his best known works, the band will present the world premiere of Jukebox!, a new piece commissioned by CBoK, with Bob Buckley himself in attendance for the occasion.

Community has always been at the heart of the Concert Band of Kanata, and this special performance in the beautiful Meridian theatre offers a chance to share that spirit on a larger stage. Whether you’re a longtime supporter of community music or simply looking for a lively and memorable afternoon out, this concert promises something for the whole family.
